Pantone has declared that Tangerine Tango is the color of the year for 2012.
I’ve always been a huge fan of orange – but “Tangerine Tango” is so much more fun to say!
Now, let’s look at Pantone’s picks over the past four years. What do you notice?
Bold. Fun. Energy.
In some ways, it’s reminiscent of the 1960’s, but with a bit more punch.
I love what the orange family of color represents from a Psychology of Color perspective.
So in honor of the 2012 Pantone Color of the Year, here are a few examples of how to work it (or variations of it) into your home. It make a great accent color, and pairs surprisingly well with many other colors.
And of course, my favorite Big Chill fridge!
