Best of Summer 2009 (so far)

For me, summer provides so much inspiration for my home – from the colors to the casual feel. Guess I know why green is my favorite color. 😉 So here are some photos I’ve taken this summer to visually illustrate what summer means to me.

August is knocking on the door, but I’m not falling for that old trick of preparing for a new school season just yet.  It’s still summer according to my calendar and quite frankly, I’m not done with it yet!

So here are some photos I’ve taken this summer to visually illustrate what summer means to me (so far!).  I’m going to print them out and frame them as a collage over acid-free paper to help me get through the winter.

  1. Hi Janmary – hey, maybe we should swap homes for a couple weeks! 🙂

Thanks Angie – I got a new camera for Mother’s Day and have been going nuts ever since! lol

  2. Jane – well said! I hear ya about the umbrellas, etc. Got drenched dropping kid #1 at camp today. Oh the insanity!

Terry – I may have to live vicariously through you if the weather situation up here doesn’t improve soon! Meanwhile, keep a sweater handy for the theaters and enjoy!

  3. Summer means hot days and long lazy evenings spent outdoors with friends and a bottle of chilled rose; visits to the clam shack for fresh seafood and homemade gelato; running carelessly into the surf and spending hot afternoons lying under shady trees in the park with a novel.
(Well, most summers, that is. This summer means umbrellas and wellington boots and moss everyhere…)
