Jump Start BBQ Grilling Season

feature

I just moved to a new home a couple weeks ago. If you’ve moved recently, you probably remember the overwhelmed feeling of boxes, priorities and lack of time. Where to start!? Because it’s May, the decision was easy. School is almost out, and outdoor party season kicks off with Memorial Day weekend.

The deck – before! It was a sad little wooden square of blah patio furniture, but with the potential to be a fun entertaining spot for grilling, dining, and general relaxing with friends!

_before

First thing I needed was a grill. Did I mention that this is a 2nd story deck? No way I could pick up a grill and plop it on a patio and start cooking. I needed help. Ace Hardware kindly delivered the grill to my house, and up those stairs! My heros!

Here’s my new Weber Genesis EP-330 Propane Gas Grill (in Smoke) in its new home! The guys from my local Ace Hardware hooked it up for me, and gave me helpful tour.

I found my boxes boxes labeled “Outdoor Fun Stuff” and began to unpack my new favorite room of the house.

Because I live in Connecticut, where summers are short, I extended the life of my new outdoor room with the Living Accents 34in Tabletop Patio Heater. Even if the days are warm, evenings can be a bit chilly for my liking (disclaimer: I’m a temperature diva).

7

I also needed a place to store my pillows and deck fluff. I needed a BIG deck box. I found the Suncast 99 Gallon Resin Wicker Deck Box at Ace. I can even fit my giant pouf in there!

11

The deck box came in handy as it pretty much rained every day since I got my grill! Finally, however, the clouds parted and I ran out to grill some chicken and veggies.

6

I love the handy Weber Stainless Steel Grill Pan for veggies – one of my daughters recently declared herself a vegetarian.

8

So we have a little something for everyone.

9

I set up a saucepan for rice on the side burner and set the table.

12

Then sat back and relaxed (my favorite part).

14

If you need me, I’ll be out here, until the end of fall. Bon Appetite!
