Before we settled on our red cape home here in Newtown, we briefly considered an older colonial that badly needed an exterior paint job. Which got me thinking – if you could pick any paint colors for your home’s exterior, what would you choose? Here are a few that caught my eye.
Blue
White
Red
Gray
Green
Yellow
Pink
What color is your home now? And if you could call a do-over, would you change it?

Sorry, I don’t know the name of the color, but it sure is pretty!
Do you know the names of the paint colors on the green house?
What are the names of the paint colors on the green house?
Hello, do you know the names of the paints used on the green house?
Hi Susan!
It is so good to see other houses in an array of colors so you can make a good choice – we picked our house color while vacationing at the beach…there is every color under the sun there! Thank you for linking the Hunt & Host Home tour link party to your blog! I appreciate it!
I’m so inlove with the different color of the houses, but what I really want the most is the color of green. I am more inspired what kind of colors to pick up. Thanks for sharing this one. Keep it up.
Indeed a very nice post. At minwax, paint colors for the specific details and information that you need. Thank you again for writing such a good post.
Hi Nicole – absolutely! That will probably come out in the Fall. Thanks!
Hey Susan Ive been following your color trend articles from Benjimin Moore and I was wondering if you were planning on doing 2014 🙂
Being a home builder, I tend to choose neutral colors when designing.
With that being said, I have seen people use colors creatively to enhance their home’s exterior. For example, when I see a home built in the Victorian era – I hope to see rich colors that show off the unique details. Or there is just something about a bright white farm house.
It truly is preference.
