It’s our first Christmas in our new home! Just thought I would share some of the ideas I pulled together retrofitting (mostly) what we already had. It’s sort of like putting together a puzzle.
Our tree is in the living room. It’s a “family” tree, not a “designer” tree. The kids did it all by themselves, which I love!
Remember the wine cork centerpiece from fall? Well, here it is blinged out for Christmas.
The fireplace is in the den, which is a very small room. I love the retro “Snoopy” lights.
The small door to the right is for bringing firewood in from outside. But we like to think of it as an elf door.
What do you notice about this picture? It was supposed to be a shot of the display on the coffee table, but the camera chose instead to capture the puppy trying to figure out what the snowman was about. Note: she has not *yet* chewed anything she shouldn’t. She must know Santa is watching.
I added a pop of color to the votive scroll wreath by simply plopping in red ornaments.
And lastly, I hung a few snowflake ornaments from the light in the dining room.
That’s all I have time to do before our neighborhood party this weekend. Switching gears to party planning now!
How are you decking your halls?

I love the Christmas balls in the glass. I’m thinking of putting it next to my Christmas tree, though.
