In my perpetual quest for beautiful solutions, I’ve struggled to find the right sponge holder to be displayed sink-side. It’s a key location, and has the big responsibility of distracting attention from the sponge it’s tasked to store. I search no more…I found what I was looking for at uncommongoods.com – the Spongster!
Not only are the graceful lines beautiful, but there is a bit of whimsy calling out the battle between good and evil.
It adds just the right amount of personality to an otherwise blah function.
As my good sponge ages, it will be relegated to the lower “evil” bunk to handle the dirty sink cleaning. For counters, microfiber towels and Method spray (which I secretly store behind the cabinet under the sink).
Behind a neighboring cabinet I store new sponges, microfiber rags, and my coffee pot scrubber. Sort of the back-stage of the overall kitchen production.
Finding a solution that marries form and function makes me happy. And that’s worth a lot to me!
Now I don’t worry about my good sponge hanging out with the wrong crowd and, well, catching cooties.

Note: I was provided products to write about, but the opinions are all mine.
