Outdoor entertaining may start around dinner, but often finishes after dinner – meaning the perfect opportunity for fire pit fun! A little planning ahead can minimize the messiness and potential dangers.
S’Mores Tips
When the party is in full swing, it’s much easier to set up a self-serve S’more station. I’ve tried it both ways. Here I just set up the ingredients and let ’em roll.
But I have found it much easier to pre-assemble little S’More kits ahead of time. It’s quick, and you know exactly how much of each ingredient you have. Also helpful if you’re giving the kids a limit on the number of S’Mores they can eat.
Sparklers
An all-American classic – sparklers are a must at a fire pit party! A little planning ahead can keep the fun while mitigating any burns.
Adding some sand to a small jar provides easy access to Sparklers.
A big thanks to French’s Mustard who provided me this darling jar when they shared new recipes with me to try. I’ve used it many ways so far!
Use an empty tin can for spent sparklers and provide a designated sparkler fire source (not just the fire pit itself) and watch the kids have a blast!
Have Fun!
This is what it’s all about.
Hope these tips help your next patio party!
