It’s my birthday and I want pie!

Marie Callender Chocolate Satin Pie

Not just any pie, I want homemade quality, and I don’t want to spend the day in the kitchen (but I do enjoy styling the pie for presentation!). Marie Callender Chocolate Satin Pie Picking out my pie was easy. I wanted a made-from-scratch crust and lots of chocolate. Marie Callender’s Chocolate Satin Pie with its rich chocolate filling adorned with real chocolate curls was the perfect choice! Luckily for me, I was asked to do a review in this sponsored post – such good timing! Because Marie Callender’s is known for quality. I trust the ingredients and let’s face it, the chocolate curls are adorable!

Did you know that Marie Callender’s got her start making homemade pies for local restaurants?

I must confess, had it not actually been my birthday, I would have googled some obscure annual holiday to celebrate, such as the first Thursday in November which is “Men Make Dinner Day.” (To all you guys looking for a clever way to woo the lady in your life, you’re welcome). Ok, back to MY day. With the pie selection handled, I wanted to have some fun with the presentation. I didn’t want the traditional candles on the dessert look.

Reddi-wip in a bowl and I had an alternative candle presentation. Ok, so maybe I didn’t have the more accurate number of candles here, but you get the idea! To add a little more excitement, I randomly hung simple curling ribbon from the cake platter. I layered another plate under the pie to add a pop of color. I appreciated that the pie pan that came with the Chocolate Satin Pie was durable, not the usual flimsy pan.    Can you just imagine? Almost too pretty to eat. Almost… It was fantastic. The crust was amazing! The kids loved it too. It was a nice touch to a special day. Now I’m looking for other occasions to celebrate with pie, just because! I hear national Have a Party with your Bear Day is coming up…

Now, when is “national exercise day?” What’s your next big occasion? Add a Marie Callender’s pie and make it extra special! Leave a note in the comments for a chance to win a $100 Visa Gift Card!

Note: I have been compensated for my review. Opinions, however, are all my own!
